Day 16: Is Your Dog Eating More Healthily Than You?

On my daily visit to the grocery store, my regular check-out guy on my after-gym trips at 6am or so always comments on the healthy stuff I buy. Today he said he also likes to eat healthy, and his wife reads labels.

Except not for their food. For their dogs.

I kid you not.

He said she’ll get all crazy about unhealthy things in their dog’s food, but yet, their cupboards are full of things like processed food and flavored coffee creamer. (The ingredients in that stuff is flammable. Check out the video.)

Don’t get me wrong; I’m all for feeding Fido good stuff. (I love dogs–except the annoying little yappy ones– although I don’t have any.) But if you are cognizant of what is good and what is crap, why in the world would you not make eating healthy a priority for your own body as well?

Unless the food you buy at one walked, flew, swam, or grew from the earth, it is processed. Which contains things made in a lab. And those things are harming people.

The food education we are getting the 30 Days program is awesome. If you’re at all on the fence, take the jump and join us. New sessions start the first and third Mondays of each month.
